Crock Pot Apple Dump Cake

This cozy dump cake takes just three ingredients and a slow cooker to create a warm, gooey dessert with minimal effort. A touch of cinnamon adds just the right amount of spice to make it feel like fall in a bowl.
INGREDIENTS:
40 ounces apple pie filling two 20-ounce cans
15.25 ounces yellow cake mix dry mix only, not prepared
0.5 cup unsalted butter melted (1 stick)
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon optional, for extra warmth
DIRECTIONS:
Lightly grease a 5- to 6-quart slow cooker with butter or cooking spray to prevent sticking.
Spoon the apple pie filling into the bottom of the slow cooker and spread it evenly. Sprinkle ground cinnamon over the apples if using.
Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the apples. Do not stir.
Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix, trying to cover as much surface as possible.
Cover and cook on HIGH for 2 to 2 1/2 hours or on LOW for 4 to 5 hours. The topping should be set and golden, and the apples bubbling underneath.
Let rest uncovered for 10–15 minutes to allow the dessert to thicken slightly. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
