Amish Chicken and Green Bean Bake

A simple Amish-inspired chicken bake made with bone-in chicken, frozen green beans, cream of mushroom soup, and dry onion soup mix. This easy oven dinner bakes uncovered until the chicken skin is golden, the beans are tender, and the creamy onion-mushroom sauce is bubbling.
INGREDIENTS:
2 lb bone-in skin-on chicken thighs or drumsticks
24 oz frozen cut green beans unthawed
1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup 10.5 oz, undiluted
1 packet dry onion soup mix 1 oz
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat the oven to 375°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Pour the frozen green beans into the baking dish and spread them into an even layer.
In a bowl, stir together the condensed cream of mushroom soup and dry onion soup mix until well combined.
Spoon the soup mixture over the green beans and spread it as evenly as possible.
Pat the chicken pieces dry with paper towels.
Arrange the chicken skin-side up over the green beans and sauce, pressing the pieces down slightly while keeping the skin exposed.
Bake uncovered on the middle rack for 50–60 minutes, until the chicken skin is golden, the sauce is bubbling, and the chicken reaches 165°F in the thickest part.
If more browning is desired, move the dish to the top rack for the final 5–10 minutes, watching carefully.
Let the bake rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Serve each portion with chicken, green beans, and sauce from the bottom of the dish.
