Stuffed Bacon and Cheese Biscuits

Stuffed Bacon and Cheese Biscuits

INGREDIENTS:

2 cans of crescent rolls (or biscuits if preferred)

Cheese (choose your favorite type)

12oz or 16oz package of bacon, cooked

Flour for dusting (optional)

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat Your Oven:

Begin by preheating your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly spray a baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray to ensure your biscuits don’t stick. Optionally, flour your work surface to make handling the dough easier.

Prepare the Crescent Rolls:

Unroll one can of crescent rolls (or half a can of biscuits) on your floured work surface. Using your hands or a rolling pin, press the seams together to form a nice rectangle, making sure the dough is evenly stretched.

Add Cheese and Bacon:

Layer your chosen cheese over the dough. Then, add a layer of cooked bacon on top of the cheese. The combination of melted cheese and crispy bacon creates a deliciously gooey and savory filling.

Top and Seal:

Unroll the remaining can of crescent rolls and place it on top of the bacon and cheese layer. Press all the seams together, making sure the top layer is well sealed around the edges and seams.

Slice and Bake:

Using a pizza cutter or a knife, slice the dough into squares. Place the squares on the prepared baking sheet so that they are touching each other. This helps them bake evenly and form a cohesive, cheesy biscuit.

Bake to Perfection:

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the tops are lightly browned and the biscuits are cooked through. Remove from the oven and let them cool on a wire rack for 3-5 minutes.

Enjoy:

Serve warm and enjoy these delicious stuffed biscuits. They make a fantastic appetizer, snack, or even a savory breakfast treat!
