Slow Cooker Tax Day Ribs

Slow Cooker Tax Day Ribs
Tender, fall-off-the-bone baby back ribs slow-cooked in a sweet and tangy barbecue sauce. With only five simple ingredients, this effortless comfort-food dinner delivers big flavor with minimal prep.

INGREDIENTS:

3-4 lbs pork baby back ribs membrane removed if desired

1 1/2 cups barbecue sauce

1/2 cup ketchup

1/4 cup brown sugar packed

2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

DIRECTIONS:

Cut rib racks into smaller sections of 3–4 ribs each for easier fitting and serving.
Arrange ribs in the slow cooker, meaty side down as much as possible, overlapping slightly if needed.
In a bowl, whisk together barbecue sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce until smooth and glossy.
Pour sauce over ribs, lifting pieces slightly so sauce coats underneath as well.
Cover and cook on LOW for 7–8 hours or HIGH for 3½–4 hours until ribs are very tender.
Carefully transfer ribs to a platter using tongs and a spatula.
For thicker sauce, simmer some cooking liquid in a saucepan for 5 minutes until slightly reduced, then spoon over ribs before serving.
