Sausage French Toast Roll-Ups
INGREDIENTS:
For the Roll-Ups:
8 slices white or whole wheat sandwich bread (soft and fresh)
8 cooked breakfast sausage links (pork, turkey, or veggie)
4 large eggs
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon unsalted butter (for cooking)

Maple syrup (for dipping or drizzling)
Powdered sugar (optional, for dusting)
Fresh fruit (optional, for plating)
DIRECTIONS:
Stage 1: Prepare the Sausages
Cook your breakfast sausage links according to the package instructions. You can use precooked or raw sausage — just ensure they’re fully cooked through. Once done, set them aside on a plate.
Stage 2: Prepare the Bread
Trim the crusts from each slice of bread using a knife. This allows the bread to roll more easily. Use a rolling pin to flatten each slice of bread into a thin layer. This helps it wrap tightly around the sausage.
Stage 3: Make the French Toast Batter
In a shallow bowl or pie dish, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon. This will be your egg dip for the roll-ups, just like traditional French toast.
