Salisbury Steak Meatballs
Did someone say comfort food? Yes, please! This twist on traditional Salisbury Steak will quickly become a family favorite at your house, everyone loves rich Salisbury Steaks floating in a thick gravy, but if you are hoping to find ways to keep portions under control a little better, or if you are serving to kids, Salisbury Steak Meatballs are a great option.
INGREDIENTS:
1 Lb. Lean Beef, Ground
2 tsp. Oil, Divided
½ cup Onions, Chopped
1 Large Egg
2 tbsp. Tomato Paste Divided
⅓ cup Breadcrumbs
1 tbsp. Flour
2 tsp. Worcestershire Sauce
1 tsp. Red Wine Vinegar
1 cup Mushrooms, Sliced
¼ tsp. Mustard, Ground
1 ¼ cup Beef Broth Divided
Parsley For Garnish, Chopped
DIRECTIONS:
Add 1 tsp of the olive oil to a skillet over medium heat, and saute the onions until softened.
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ½ the onions, 1 oz. of the chopped mushrooms, breadcrumbs, egg, 1 Tbsp of the tomato paste, ¼ cup of the broth and salt and pepper to taste.
Knead with your hands until well combined, and then form into 20 meatballs.
In a bowl, whisk together 1 cup of the broth, the flour, worcestershire sauce, red wine vinegar, ground mustard, 1 Tbsp. tomato paste and the other half of the onions until well combined …
