Oven Beef Sirloin Steaks

Oven Beef Sirloin Steaks
Tender oven-baked sirloin steaks are cooked in a sweet and savory soy, brown sugar, Worcestershire, and oil glaze. This easy five-ingredient beef dinner bakes covered first to stay moist, then finishes uncovered until glossy, bubbling, and flavorful.

INGREDIENTS:

2 lb beef sirloin steaks about 1 inch thick

1/2 cup soy sauce regular or low-sodium

1/3 cup brown sugar packed, dark if available

2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

2 tbsp vegetable oil

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat the oven to 375°F.
Place the sirloin steaks in a 9×13-inch glass casserole dish in a single layer.
Cut any very large or uneven steaks into smaller pieces so they cook evenly.
In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and vegetable oil until the sugar is mostly dissolved.
Pour the glaze over the steaks.
Turn the steaks once with tongs so both sides are coated, then spoon extra glaze over the top.
Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil.
Bake covered for 20 minutes.
Carefully remove the foil, baste the steaks with the pan juices, and flip them.
Return the dish to the oven uncovered and bake for another 10–15 minutes, until the glaze is bubbling and the steaks reach about 145°F for medium.
Let the steaks rest in the dish for 5 minutes.
Slice across the grain or serve whole, spooning the glossy pan sauce over each portion.
