Mouthwatering Garlic Mozzarella Bread
In my humble opinion, garlic is one of nature’s best creations. Garlic will make even the most bland food taste infinitely better. And just a little bit of garlic goes a very long way! On the topic of garlic-infused goodness, I wanted to share a recipe with you that I think is bound to become one of your new favorites.
INGREDIENTS:
1 loaf of French bread or Italian bread
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Prepare the Bread:
Cut the loaf of bread in half lengthwise, creating two long halves.
Make the Garlic Butter:
In a bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley. Mix until well blended.
Spread the Garlic Butter:
Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over both halves of the bread.
Add Cheese and Seasonings:
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the garlic butter.
Follow with the grated Parmesan cheese.
Sprinkle the dried oregano, dried basil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper over the cheese.
Bake the Bread:
Place the prepared bread halves on a baking sheet, cut side up.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the edges of the bread are golden brown.
Serve:
Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool for a couple of minutes.
Slice the bread into pieces and serve warm.
