Mini Pizza Burger

INGREDIENTS:

1 lb ground beef
4 small sandwich buns
4 slices of mozzarella cheese
1 tomato, sliced
1/2 cup pizza sauce
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried basil
Salt and pepper to taste
Olive oil for grilling

DIRECTIONS:

Prepare the Patties:
Divide the ground beef into four equal portions and shape them into small patties. Season both sides with salt, pepper, oregano, and basil.
Cook the Patties:
Heat a grill pan or skillet with a little olive oil over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness.
Toast the Buns:
While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the sandwich buns in a separate pan or under the broiler until golden brown.
Assemble the Mini Pizza Burgers:
Once the patties are cooked, spread a generous amount of pizza sauce on the bottom half of each bun. Place the cooked patties on top and add a slice of mozzarella cheese on each patty.
Melt the Cheese:
Place the mini burgers under the broiler for about 1-2 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Add the Toppings:
Top each mini pizza burger with a slice of tomato and a sprinkle of oregano and basil for extra flavor.
Serve:
Place the top bun on the burgers and serve them hot!
