Homemade 3 Musketeers Bars
INGREDIENTS:
. 6 cups milk chocolate chips (divided)
. 8 oz Cool Whip (thawed)
. 1 ½ tbsp vegetable shortening
DIRECTIONS:
1. First, melt 3 ½ cups of the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth.
2. Using a hand mixer, blend in the thawed Cool Whip until the mixture is light and fluffy.
3. Press the chocolate and Cool Whip mixture into a baking pan lined with parchment paper. Smooth the top with a spatula.
4. Freeze the mixture for 30 minutes until firm.
5. Remove from the freezer and slice into bar-sized pieces.
6. Place the sliced bars back in the freezer for another 30 minutes.
7. Meanwhile, melt the remaining chocolate chips with the vegetable shortening, mixing until smooth.
8. Dip each frozen bar into the melted chocolate to coat, then place them on a lined baking tray.
9. Chill the coated bars in the refrigerator for about 1 hour or until the chocolate is set.
