Green Chile Cheese Squares

INGREDIENTS:

4 large eggs

2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup melted butter

1 cup milk

2 4-ounce cans diced green chiles, drained

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×13-inch casserole dish.
Whisk eggs in a large bowl until frothy.
Stir in shredded cheeses.
Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. Fold into the egg mixture.
Add melted butter and milk, stirring until smooth.
Gently fold in diced green chiles.
Spread batter evenly in the prepared dish.
Bake for 35-45 minutes until golden and set.
Let cool slightly, then cut into squares and serve warm.
