Easy Baked Ribs

Easy Baked Ribs

INGREDIENTS:

2 racks of baby back ribs
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1 cup barbecue sauce (store-bought or homemade)
Optional: additional seasonings like garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, or cayenne pepper for extra flavor

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat your oven to 275°F (135°C).
Prepare the ribs by removing the membrane from the back of the racks. Use a knife to loosen the membrane from one end of the rack, then grip it with a paper towel and peel it off. This step helps the ribs become more tender.
Season the ribs generously with salt and black pepper. You can also add any additional seasonings of your choice for extra flavor.
Place the seasoned ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil or parchment paper. Make sure they are in a single layer and not overlapping.
Cover the ribs tightly with another sheet of aluminum foil, sealing the edges to create a packet.
Bake the ribs in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until they are tender and almost falling off the bone.
Remove the ribs from the oven and carefully drain any excess liquid and fat from the baking sheet.
Increase the oven temperature to 375°F (190°C).
Brush the barbecue sauce generously over the ribs, covering them completely.
Return the ribs to the oven, uncovered, and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the sauce is caramelized and sticky.
Once done, remove the ribs from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Serve your easy baked ribs hot with additional barbecue sauce on the side, if desired.
