Dr. Pepper Brownies
These Dr. Pepper Brownies are rich, fudgy, and incredibly moist with a hint of Dr. Pepper’s signature caramel and spice flavors. The soda adds extra moisture while enhancing the chocolatey goodness, making these brownies irresistibly soft and chewy. This easy, one-bowl recipe is perfect for chocolate lovers and soda fans alike!
INGREDIENTS:
For the Brownies:
1 cup all-purpose flour
½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
½ teaspoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
½ cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup granulated sugar
½ cup brown sugar, packed
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ cup Dr. Pepper soda
½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional, for extra richness)
For the Dr. Pepper Glaze (Optional but Highly Recommended!):
½ cup powdered sugar
2–3 tablespoons Dr. Pepper soda
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
DIRECTIONS:
1. Preheat & Prep:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease or line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
2. Mix the Dry Ingredients:
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
3. Prepare the Batter:
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until well combined.
Add eggs and vanilla extract, beating until smooth.
Slowly stir in the Dr. Pepper soda, mixing gently (it may fizz a little—this is normal!).
4. Combine & Bake:
Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Do not overmix!
If using, fold in the chocolate chips for extra gooeyness.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
5. Make the Dr. Pepper Glaze (Optional but Delicious!):
In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, Dr. Pepper soda, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Drizzle over warm or cooled brownies for an extra punch of flavor.
6. Cool & Serve:
Let the brownies cool in the pan for 15–20 minutes before slicing.
Serve warm for an extra gooey texture or let them set completely for a thick, chewy bite!
