INGREDIENTS:

For the Dough

1 lb (450 g) pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)

For the Filling

1/2 cup (120 ml) pizza sauce or marinara sauce

1 cup (100 g) shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup (50 g) shredded provolone cheese

6 slices of deli ham

6 slices of salami

6 slices of pepperoni

1/2 cup (50 g) sautéed mushrooms (optional)

1/2 cup (50 g) diced bell peppers

1/4 cup (30 g) sliced black olives (optional)

For the Topping

1 large egg, beaten (for egg wash)

1 tsp Italian seasoning

1 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese

DIRECTIONS:

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

Step 2: Roll Out the Dough

On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle, about 12×15 inches.

Step 3: Add the Filling

Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.

Layer the mozzarella and provolone cheese on top of the sauce.

Add the deli ham, salami, and pepperoni in an even layer.

Sprinkle the sautéed mushrooms, diced bell peppers, and sliced black olives (if using) over the meats.

Step 4: Roll the Stromboli

Starting from one long side, tightly roll the dough into a log, tucking in the ends as you go to seal. Place the Stromboli seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.

Step 5: Add the Topping

Brush the beaten egg over the top and sides of the Stromboli. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning and grated Parmesan cheese.

Step 6: Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and crispy.

Step 7: Slice and Serve

Let the Stromboli cool for 5 minutes before slicing into thick pieces. Serve warm with extra pizza sauce or marinara on the side for dipping.
