Creamy Indian Butter Chicken Delight
INGREDIENTS:
– 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs, diced into bite-sized pieces
– 2 tablespoons butter
– 1 onion, finely diced
– 3 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
– 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
– 1 teaspoon ground cumin
– 1 teaspoon ground coriander
– 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
– 1/2 teaspoon paprika
– 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
– Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
– 1 cup tomato puree
– 1/2 cup heavy cream
– Fresh cilantro leaves, for garnish
DIRECTIONS:
1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the finely diced onion and cook until softened, approximately 5 minutes.
2. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet, and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
3. Add the diced chicken pieces to the skillet and cook until they are browned on all sides.
