Creamy Chicken with Mushrooms
INGREDIENTS:
– 300 g chicken breast, thinly sliced
– 250 g mushrooms, sliced
– 30 g butter
– 150 g heavy cream (30-33% fat content)
– 50 g water
– 1 garlic clove, finely chopped
– Fresh parsley for garnish
– Vegetable oil
DIRECTIONS:
1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add vegetable oil. Once hot, add the chicken breast strips and cook until golden brown and cooked through. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
2. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add sliced mushrooms and sauté until tender and lightly browned.
3. Add chopped garlic to the skillet and cook for another minute, stirring continuously.
4. Pour in water and cook for a few minutes to deglaze the skillet, creating a flavorful base for the sauce.
5. Reduce heat to low and add heavy cream to the skillet. Stir well to combine and let sauce simmer for a few minutes until slightly thickened.
6. Return cooked chicken to skillet and stir into the sauce. Continue cooking for a few more minutes until chicken is heated through.
7. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Optionally, add additional herbs or spices according to preference.
8. Remove skillet from heat and garnish creamy chicken with chopped parsley.
9. Serve hot over rice, pasta, or with preferred side dishes. Enjoy your creamy chicken with mushrooms!
