Cream Cheese Cake

INGREDIENTS:
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
2 cups granulated sugar
4 large eggs, room temperature
2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup whole milk, room temperature
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
For the Cream Cheese Frosting:
16 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
4 cups powdered sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Pinch salt
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour two 9-inch cake pans.
Cream together cream cheese and butter until smooth and fluffy (about 3 minutes).
Gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy (about 5 minutes).
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
Alternate adding flour mixture and milk to the batter, beginning and ending with flour.
Stir in vanilla extract.
Divide batter between prepared pans.
Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean …
