Cream Cheese and Bacon Stuffed Doritos
INGREDIENTS:
1 bag of Doritos (Nacho Cheese, Cool Ranch, or your favorite flavor)
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
½ cup cooked and crumbled bacon
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
¼ teaspoon black pepper
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup crushed Doritos (for coating)
DIRECTIONS:
1. Make the Cheese Filling:
In a bowl, mix together cream cheese, shredded cheddar, bacon, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
Stir until fully combined and smooth.
2. Assemble the Stuffed Doritos:
Take two similar-sized Doritos and spread a small amount of cheese filling on one side.
Press another Dorito on top, making a mini sandwich.
Repeat until all the cheese mixture is used.
3. Coat for Extra Crunch:
Dip each stuffed Dorito into flour, coating all sides.
Dip into beaten eggs, ensuring it’s fully coated.
Roll in crushed Doritos to create a crispy outer layer.
4. Fry or Bake:
Air Fryer Method (Healthier & Crispier!):
Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
Place stuffed Doritos in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
Spray lightly with cooking spray and cook for 6–8 minutes, flipping halfway through.
Deep Frying (Ultimate Crisp!):
Heat 2 inches of oil in a pan to 350°F (175°C).
Fry each stuffed Dorito for 30–45 seconds per side, or until golden brown.
Drain on a paper towel.
Baking (Less Oil, Still Delicious!):
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
Place the stuffed Doritos on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
5. Serve & Enjoy!
Serve warm with ranch dressing, sour cream, or salsa for dipping! 🌶️🔥
Garnish with extra crumbled bacon or green onions for a restaurant-style touch.
