Long John Silvers has long had a monopoly on unique, crispy, flavorful chicken tenders. Now, with our copycat recipe, you can recreate this fast food favorite in the comfort of your own kitchen.
INGREDIENTS:
Lb Chicken Tenders
Flour Mix:
¾ cup Flour
tbsp Cornstarch
¼ tsp Baking Soda
¼ tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Kosher Salt
1 tsp White Sugar
¼ tsp Garlic Powder
Beer Batter:
1 8 Oz Can Of Beer
1 Package Louisiana Chicken Fry Batter Mix
Cooking Oil:
8 cup Vegetable Oil
DIRECTIONS:
Add ingredients in a medium bowl. Whisk to combine. Set aside.
Beer Batter Mix:
Whisk together the beer and chicken fry batter mix together in a medium bowl.
Cooking Oil:
Pour in a heavy pot, heating until the oil reaches 360-375 degrees.
Cooking Steps:
Dredge the chicken tenders in the flour mix.
Dip the coated chicken tenders in the beer batter mix. Transfer to the pot of hot oil.
