Cinnamon Donut Bread

INGREDIENTS:

For the Bread:

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

3/4 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 cup buttermilk (cold)

1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted and cooled)

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Cinnamon-Sugar Coating:

1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted, for brushing)

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Optional Glaze:

1 cup powdered sugar

2–3 tablespoons milk (or cream)

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

DIRECTIONS:

Step 1: Preheat Your Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) . Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan and line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

Step 2: Mix the Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.

Step 3: Combine the Wet Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Step 4: Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients

Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix—the batter should be slightly lumpy.

Step 5: Bake the Bread

Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.

Bake in the preheated oven for 45–50 minutes , or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Step 6: Prepare the Cinnamon-Sugar Coating
