Churros Poppers

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup water
2 1/2 tablespoons white sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 quarts oil for frying
1/2 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

DIRECTIONS:

1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine water, 2 1/2 tablespoons sugar, salt, and 2 tablespoons vegetable oil. Bring to a boil and remove from heat.
2. Stir in flour until mixture forms a ball.
3. Heat oil for frying in a deep fryer or deep pot to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
4. Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a star tip.
5. Carefully pipe small, 1-inch rounds of dough into the hot oil.
6. Fry until golden brown, about 2 minutes per batch.
7. Drain on paper towels.
8. Combine 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
9. Roll warm churros in cinnamon sugar mixture.
10. Serve immediately and enjoy!
