Chocolate Banana Oatmeal Dessert

Serves 4–6

INGREDIENTS:

2 ripe bananas , mashed 🍌

1 ½ cups rolled oats (use gluten-free if needed)

¼ cup cocoa powder (unsweetened)

¼ cup maple syrup (or honey)

1 tsp baking powder

¼ tsp salt

½ cup dark chocolate chips (or chopped chocolate)

Optional Add-Ins :

1 tbsp peanut butter (swirled on top)

¼ cup chopped walnuts or pecans

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 tbsp chia seeds or flaxseed

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat Oven :
Heat oven to 350°F (175°C) . Grease an 8×8-inch baking dish or use parchment paper.

Mix Dry Ingredients :
In a bowl, whisk oats, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

Combine Wet & Dry :
Stir in mashed bananas and maple syrup until a sticky dough forms. Fold in chocolate chips.

Bake :
Spread mixture in the dish. Bake for 20–25 minutes until edges are crisp and center is set.

Cool & Serve :
Let cool slightly, then slice into squares. Top with extra banana slices, peanut butter drizzle, or nuts.
