1/2 tsp salt

8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened

1/3 cup (65 g) granulated sugar

1 large egg

1 tsp vanilla extract

DIRECTIONS:

Step 1: Prepare the Brownie Batter

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.

Add the eggs and vanilla extract, whisking until fully incorporated.

Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined. Avoid overmixing.

Pour most of the brownie batter into the prepared pan, reserving about 1/2 cup for the swirl topping. Spread the batter evenly.
