Carolina BBQ Sauce

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon hot sauce (adjust to taste)
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and black pepper, to taste

DIRECTIONS:

Combine Ingredients:
In a medium saucepan, combine the apple cider vinegar, ketchup, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, hot sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.

Simmer:
Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Allow it to simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until slightly thickened.

Cool:
Remove from heat and let the sauce cool to room temperature.

Store:
Transfer the sauce to a clean jar or bottle and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
