Black Pepper Chicken

INGREDIENTS:

1 pound chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 teaspoons cornstarch
1 tablespoon olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon ginger, minced
1 bell pepper, diced
1 onion, diced
2 tablespoons black pepper, freshly ground
1/4 cup chicken broth
2 tablespoons oyster sauce
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon sugar
Green onions and sesame seeds for garnish

DIRECTIONS:

In a bowl, mix the chicken pieces with 1 tablespoon soy sauce and cornstarch. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until browned on all sides. Remove the chicken and set aside.
In the same pan, add a bit more oil if needed, then add garlic and ginger. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Add the bell pepper and onion to the pan, and stir-fry for about 2 minutes.
Return the chicken to the pan. Add black pepper, chicken broth, oyster sauce, 1 tablespoon soy sauce, and sugar. Stir well to combine all ingredients.
Cook for another 3-4 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly and the chicken is cooked through.
Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving
