Balsamic Strawberry Caprese

Serves 4–6

INGREDIENTS:

1 pint fresh strawberries , hulled and halved (or quartered if large)

8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese , sliced or torn into bite-sized pieces (bocconcini works well too)

Fresh basil leaves , torn or whole

2 tbsp balsamic glaze (store-bought or homemade)

1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

Salt and pepper , to taste

Optional : Cracked black pepper or flaky sea salt for garnish

DIRECTIONS:

Step 1: Prep the Ingredients

Wash and dry the strawberries, then hull and slice them in half or quarters, depending on their size.

Slice or tear the mozzarella into bite-sized pieces.

Tear or leave the basil leaves whole, depending on your preference.

Step 2: Assemble the Salad

On a serving platter or individual plates, alternate slices of strawberry and mozzarella, arranging them in a circular pattern or rows for a visually appealing presentation.

Tuck fresh basil leaves throughout the arrangement for a pop of color and freshness.

Step 3: Drizzle & Season

Drizzle the balsamic glaze evenly over the strawberries and mozzarella.

Add a light drizzle of extra virgin olive oil for richness.

Sprinkle with a pinch of salt and freshly ground black pepper to enhance the flavors.

Step 4: Serve

Garnish with additional cracked black pepper, flaky sea salt, or more fresh basil if desired.
