This flavorful Baked Blackened Cod is perfectly seasoned with a bold, smoky spice mix and baked to tender perfection. It’s quick to prepare, healthy, and bursting with flavor—an easy weeknight seafood dinner that feels gourmet.

INGREDIENTS:

4 cod fillets about 6 ounces each

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp paprika

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp thyme

1 tsp oregano

1/2 tsp cayenne pepper adjust for spice preference

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1 lemon cut into wedges

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a small bowl, mix paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, oregano, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
Pat cod fillets dry with paper towels. Brush each fillet with olive oil on both sides.
Generously coat fillets with seasoning mixture, pressing to help it stick.
Place seasoned fillets on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes, until fish flakes easily with a fork.
Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.
