Apple Monkey Bread

INGREDIENTS:

2 large apples, peeled and diced

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 tablespoon water

1 can Pillsbury cinnamon roll dough

1 teaspoon cinnamon, additional

6 tablespoons butter, melted

½ cup brown sugar

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9-inch cake pan.

Add apples, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, and water to a large microwave-safe bowl. Heat for 2 minutes then drain. Let cool for 5 minutes.

Cut each cinnamon roll into 6 slices and add to the cooled apples. Gently toss to combine.

Transfer dough to the prepared pan.

Mix together the melted butter, brown sugar, and additional cinnamon in a small bowl.

Pour butter mixture over the dough, then bake for 25-28 minutes.

Drizzle with the cinnamon roll frosting if desired.
