Honey Garlic Shrimp, Sausage and Broccoli
INGREDIENTS:
Protein
01 450 g large shrimp, peeled and deveined
02 225 g smoked sausage, sliced into 1.25 cm pieces
Vegetables
03 300 g broccoli florets
04 4 cloves garlic, finely minced
Sauce
05 60 ml honey
06 60 ml low sodium soy sauce
07 15 ml freshly squeezed lemon juice
08 1.25 ml red pepper flakes (optional)
Cooking and Serving
09 15 ml olive oil
10 Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
11 Cooked rice or quinoa, for serving
12 Fresh parsley or cilantro, chopped, for garnish (optional)
DIRECTIONS:
Step 01
In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes if using. Set aside.
Step 02
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sliced sausage and cook for 4–5 minutes, turning occasionally, until evenly browned. Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside.
Step 03
