Layered Pasta Salad

INGREDIENTS:

For the Dressing:

½ cup mayonnaise

¾ cup sour cream

2 teaspoons white vinegar

1 teaspoon sugar

2 teaspoons Dijon mustard

½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

For the Salad:

3 cups cooked pasta (rotini, bowtie, or elbow pasta works best)

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

1 cup cucumber, diced

1 cup frozen peas, thawed

1 cup shredded carrots

½ cup red onion, thinly sliced

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

½ cup cooked and crumbled bacon (optional)

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

DIRECTIONS:

1. Prepare the Dressing:

In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream, white vinegar, sugar, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce until smooth.

Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Set aside.

2. Layer the Salad:

In a large glass bowl or trifle dish, layer the ingredients in the following order for a stunning presentation:

Cooked pasta (cooled)

Cherry tomatoes

Cucumber

Peas

Shredded carrots

Red onion

Cheddar cheese

Crumbled bacon (if using)
