APPLE SLAB PIE

INGREDIENTS:

CRUST

3 cups All Purpose Flour

3 sticks of cold unsalted butter, cut in small pieces

4 tablespoons sugar

1 teaspoon salt

1/3 cup of cold water

FILLING

5 lbs Honey Crisp Apples, peeled & thinly sliced

2/3 cup all purpose flour

1/2 cup sugar

Juice of 1 lemon

Zest & juice of 2 clementines or 1 orange

1 tablespoon cinnamon

1 tablespoon vanilla

TOPPING

1 cup all purpose flower

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup sugar

1 stick of cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces

DIRECTIONS:

In a food processor add the flour, sugar, salt and butter.

Give about 10 pulses and slowly drizzle in water.

Pulse until the dough comes together but still crumbly.

Put in a ball and wrap in plastic for 1 hour in the refrigerator.

Preheat oven to 350°

Line a 10×15 baking sheet with 1 inch border with parchment paper, grease edges.

Take dough out of refrigerator about 10 minutes before baking.
