INGREDIENTS:

2 pounds ground beef

2 large onions thinly sliced

2 tablespoons butter

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 cup beef broth

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

1/2 cup grated Gruyere cheese

2 eggs

2 cloves garlic minced

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon dried thyme

Salt and pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to ensure it’s ready when you need to bake the meatloaf.
Caramelize the Onions: Heat 2 tablespoons of butter and 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat, add the thinly sliced onions, and cook, stirring occasionally, for 20-25 minutes until deeply caramelized.
